A place for the audience

In 2018, Infinite partnered with the City of Arlington on the development of a 100,000-square-foot esports stadium at the Arlington Convention Center. Contemporary D CEO reporting described the agreement and the intended role of NGAGE in managing the facility.

The project extended the group’s work beyond teams and digital audiences into a physical setting for competition, broadcast production and live entertainment. It brought together municipal partners and specialist esports businesses around a shared venue.

Turning the project into an agreement

Chris participated in the city’s approval process. Arlington City Council’s minutes record his appearance in support of the esports stadium agreements on August 21, 2018. The council approved the item unanimously.

Venue development added another dimension to the organization he had founded: working across commercial operations, public partners and the practical requirements of a live event. It is a concrete part of his experience connecting sports businesses with the places and communities around them.
